What We Believe

We believe…the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (II Tim. 3:16-17, II Pet. 1:21).

We believe…there is one God, eternally existent in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, Mt. 28:19, Jn. 10:30).

We believe…in the deity of Christ (Jn. 10:33), His virgin birth (Isa. 7:14, Mt. 1:23), His sinless life (Heb. 4:15, Heb. 7:26), His miracles (Jn. 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (I Co. 15:3, Eph. 1:7, Heb. 2:9), His resurrection (Jn. 11:25, I Co. 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mk. 16:19), and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11).

We believe…in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ; that only by God’s grace and through faith are we saved; that our salvation is eternally secure (Jn. 3:16; 5:24, Rom. 3:24; 5:8-9, Eph. 2:8-10, Titus 3:5, Phil. 1:6).

We believe…in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (Jn. 5:28-29).

We believe…in that “blessed hope,” the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (I Thess. 4:16-18).

We believe…in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ro. 8:9, I Co. 12:12-13; Gal. 3:26-28).

We believe…in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer in Christ at the moment of salvation, and by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Ro. 8:13-14, I Co. 3:16).

We believe… that Christians should live a holy life for the glory of God and the well being of others (I Pet. 1:14-16, Eph. 1:4, Eph. 5:3).

We believe..that all who are in Christ face daily opposition on three continuously interacting fronts: the flesh, the world system, and the demonic (I Pet. 5:8, I Jn. 2:15-16, Gal. 5:17).

We believe…in the Church, the Body of Christ, whose mission it is to make disciples, which involves evangelizing the lost, growing, and equipping the believer (Mt. 28:19-20, Acts 1:8).

We believe…that the ordinances of the Church, given by our Lord, are Baptism (by immersion following conversion) and the Lord’s Table (communion) (Acts 8:36-39, I Co. 11:23-32).

Bethel Bible Church makes no distinction concerning an individual’s race or ethnic background because we acknowledge that there can be no preferential treatment with God (Ro. 2:11). We are committed to extending our ministry to all we can reach in carrying out our Lord’s Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20
